Salt may also cause sodium ion poisoning with excessive urination and thirst, as well as vomiting, diarrhea, elevated body temperature, and seizures. Garlic and onions are pungent ingredients that can destroy your dog’s red blood cells that may lead to anemia. Milk has milk sugar that dogs have lacking enzymes to break down milk leading lactose intolerance, diarrhea, vomiting, and gastrointestinal problems. Avoid raw meat for your dogs as they contain bacteria that may result in food poisoning, and raw fish may hide parasites causing fatal disease.
Xylitol is the main component of sweet foods such as butter, gums, candies, and baked foods causing insulin surge that may lead to the drop in your dog’s blood glucose levels and liver failure leading to signs and symptoms like lethargy, loss of coordination, vomiting, seizures, and eventually death. While the harmful compounds and chemicals present in grapes and raisings are unknown, too much consumption causes toxicity causing rapid kidney failure as evidenced by diarrhea, vomiting, and lethargic state.
